It's hard to believe that it is now August. I could swear we haven't had the 4th of July yet! This summer has been completely dismal with the exception of the past week. I was just thinking the other day that it's hard to look forward to Fall~which is my favorite season~when it seems we haven't had the hot heat of summer. Today is supposed to be a different story...mid 80's! The gardens love it, the kids love it, my Mom hates it! August also sets off the school shopping alarm. Time to fight the crowds and clutter, weed out the clothes that the kid's have grown out of and either have a garage sale or hand them down to the nieces. That routine will be different this year as Brice is heading to College. Instead of simple new clothes we need to purchase a mini fridge, comforter, sheet sets, all of the toiletries, and he wants our 22" flatscreen from the front room. That's just the beginning. I'm not sure how I'm going to adjust to him leaving home. To be completely honest I HATE the idea. My kids are welcome to live with me until they are 40~there, I said it! This emotional up and down is for the birds!
