Yes, today was the day. I was staring at the front garden and you know, in the late summer everything is overgrown and kinda washed out. I usually wait until it's at least double digit September to start 'havesting' the porch and yard. But I just couldn't wait. I spruced up my scarecrow, repainted his head, washed his overalls and gave him a new hankerchief. Then into the front garden he went...along with a sign about killer pumpkins, which I have none of. I mean, I have like 6-7 pumpkins but they are far from killer. The air is perfectly cool and crisp in the mornings, like 60 degrees. This is my FAVORITE weather. So here it is anyway, my scarecrow in the garden,,,,Sept.9th!
